July 20, 2010 : Century of Action, Oregon Women Vote

The 100th anniversary of women gaining the right to vote in Oregon is not until 2012, but preparations are underway to insure this momentous occasion does not pass unnoticed. With your help, we are laying the groundwork to make the most of this unique opportunity to celebrate this important event in Oregon’s history and the century of action since 1912.

Justice Roberts is an active planner with this group.  Please join her in being involved and in contributing.

  • The name “Century of Action: Oregon Women Vote, 1912–2012″ defines the project by recognizing both the significant political work accomplished by Oregon women since 1912, and the historic achievement of winning their voting rights.
  • Save the Date—July 20, 2010! Join us for a night of suffrage history as part of the Oregon Encyclopedia History Night series at McMenamins Cornelius Pass Roadhouse. Come enjoy good food and drink while you mingle with other Oregon history enthusiasts. This will be a fundraiser for the Century of Action centennial project. More details at www.oregonsuffrage.org or RSVP on the Facebook page, Century of Action.
  • You can also follow the planning on Twitter at twitter.com/CenturyofAction.

You can donate online anytime at www.oregonsuffrage.org
