To look at these issues, the students  read a memoir each week and analyze it in terms of theories of systems of oppression.  This week, the students will have read Justice Roberts’ book With Grit and By Grace: Breaking Trails in Politics and Law, A Memoir.  Justice Roberts’ comments and discussion with the students will focus on specific Oregon elements of the women’s movement, what it was like before, progress made, work still to be done, resisting sexism, and other relevant topics.
